The Power of Christ’s Sacrifice

A Truth That Changes Everything

Have you ever felt like you can never measure up spiritually? Like there’s always one more thing you need to do to truly be right with God? If so, you’re not alone. But here’s the truth:
Christ’s sacrifice accomplished everything needed for you to live in right relationship with God!
When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he declared, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

Before Jesus’ sacrifice at Calvary, people dealt with sin by following strict religious rules. They regularly sacrificed animals, and once a year, on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the high priest would enter the most sacred part of the temple to offer sacrifices for the entire nation's sins.

But this process was always meant to be temporary—sins were never fully erased, and the cycle had to repeat year after year.

Then Jesus Came

This is where the truth of John's declaration becomes clear: Jesus, the Lamb of God, truly "takes away" the sin of the world, ending the need for those temporary sacrifices.

His death on the cross wasn’t just another sacrifice—it was the final sacrifice. When He cried out, “It is finished,” in John 19:30, He wasn’t just talking about His life ending. He was declaring that the price for sin had been completely paid in full with His sacrifice—ONCE AND FOR ALL!

What Does This Mean for You?

  • The barrier between you and God? Gone.
  • The temple curtain that separated people from God’s presence? Torn in two.

Now, you can approach God—not through rituals or religious hoops, but through simple faith in Jesus.

Hebrews 10:19 says that you can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy place because of the blood of Jesus. There is nothing keeping you from relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Why Do We Still Struggle With This?

Even though Christ’s sacrifice is complete, many of us still live as if we have to earn God’s approval.

But let’s go back to what it says in Hebrews 10:14, “By one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”

That means if you believe in Christ, you are already made holy. Not because of anything you’ve done, but because of what He has done.

Take that in for a second.

You’re not just a “sinner saved by grace” barely hanging on. You are a fully accepted, deeply loved child of God!

This Changes Everything

I want you to grasp how incredible this is! Do you know what this means?

  • You can come to God with confidence.
  • You don’t have to strive for His approval—you already have it.
  • You can live from a place of fullness, not lack.

Isn't this incredible? You don't serve some distant, disconnected entity. God, the creator of the universe, knows you, loves you, and wants a relationship with you! You are a beloved child of the Most High!

How Do You Live in This Truth?

Here are some practical ways to walk in the freedom Christ has given you:
