At The Bridge, what we believe starts and ends with the Bible.
Every message we share and every ministry we offer grows out of God’s truth.

Jesus Christ
Jesus is fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, He lived sinlessly, died for our sins, rose bodily, and now reigns as our High Priest and Mediator.
Scripture
John 1:1,14
1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

1 Timothy 2:5
For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.

The Holy Spirit
He is our Comforter and is sent to convince us of our righteousness. He guides into all truth, empowers holy living and witness, gives spiritual gifts, and assures us we belong to God.
Scripture
John 14:16-17
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Romans 8:14-16
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. 15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” 16For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.

The Bible
The Bible is God’s inspired Word - true, trustworthy, and our final guide for faith and life.
Scripture
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Peter 1:20–21
20 Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, 21 or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Salvation
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus - not by our works. Salvation brings forgiveness, new life, and a right standing with God.
Scripture

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Titus 3:5–7
5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7 Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.
Romans 10:9–10
9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.

Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” 26 For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.
