Faith That Moves

Action Rooted in Awe

Is It Enough to Believe?

We’ve all asked the question: Is believing in Jesus really enough?

The answer? Belief is just the beginning.

True faith is more than showing up to church, tithing, or performing religious rituals. Jesus didn’t die so you could live a safe, shallow life—He invites you into a deep, meaningful transformation.

A New Creation In Christ Jesus

When you accepted Jesus as Lord, your spirit shifted from darkness to light. That’s not merely symbolic—it’s a supernatural rebirth. In accepting Christ, you stepped into your true identity as a child of God, a co-heir, a son or daughter of the King!

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

You are a brand-new creation, and that changes everything.

Acts 2: A Church in Action

The early Church didn’t just believe—they were moved to action. They devoted themselves to Jesus’ teachings, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer (Acts 2:42). That kind of devotion is full-time.

They didn’t gather for mere programs or prestige. They came for Presence.

They ate together, prayed together, and grew together. And as they did, signs and wonders followed.

Fellowship Isn't Always Comfortable—but It's Powerful

Loving people who love you? That’s easy.

Laying your life down for someone hard to love? That’s Jesus.

Fellowship means choosing connection over isolation. And Jesus’ teachings should draw you into relationship with others, not into an isolating contemplation of spiritual things! It’s more than just sharing meals—you’re sharing lives. In that space, prayer flows, the Spirit moves, and healing happens.

This is where real ministry begins—not on stages, but around tables.

What Power Have We Been Given?

So often, we act powerless. But Jesus gave you:

  • The power of the Kingdom (Matthew 5–7)
  • The power of faith (Mark 11:23)
  • The power of the gospel (Mark 16:15)
  • The power of His name (Mark 16:17–18)
  • And the most profound gift…The power of sonship (John 1:12)

Your identity as a child of God outranks every spiritual gift, role, or ability. It’s not about what you do—it’s about who you belong to.
Identity Over Assignment

Do you ever find it hard to accept who you are in Christ because you think about everything you’ve done that looks nothing like Him? The truth is, the enemy loves when you play those past mistakes over and over in your head because it keeps you stuck.

But God doesn’t think your past disqualifies you from His Kingdom. If you don’t believe me, just look at Peter’s life.

Peter denied Jesus. Talk about a massive failure, right? But Jesus didn’t cancel him—He restored him.

On Pentecost, Peter—who wasn’t an evangelist by trade—delivered a powerful message, and 3,000 people were saved. Why? Because the power of sonship means God equips you to step into whatever role is needed.

It’s not about your past, your failures, your position, your experience, or your title—it’s about obedience as you are guided by the Father.

Without Love, Action is Just Noise

We’re reminded in 1 Corinthians 13 that you can speak in tongues, move mountains, give it all away—but without love? It’s all meaningless.

Love for others is the proof of real faith. It's how the world knows you’re His (John 13:35).

Love isn't always loud. Sometimes, it’s choosing humility, extending grace, or interceding for someone who hurt you.

Awe Leads to True Action

When you live in awe of God, you start to expect to see Him in everyday moments.

That’s what happened in Acts 2. The people were amazed. Awe flooded the atmosphere. And from there, the supernatural manifested, the people experienced divine favor, and the Church exploded—not through hype, but through holiness.

Let's Live It Out

This week, put real action behind your faith.

  • Lean into the teachings of Jesus.
  • Stay rooted in fellowship.
  • Pray with purpose.
  • Serve with love.
  • Expect the supernatural.

Stop saying you’re powerless; stop saying you’re stuck.

Live in what is true! You are a river of living water (John 7:38). The power and love of God flow through you—not by striving, but by staying connected to the Source.

TIFAW: Try It For A Week

You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to say yes.

Yes to love. Yes to action. Yes to a faith that moves.

You’re a son. You’re a daughter. You carry the presence of God. So, let the awe of God be what drives you!
