How You See Jesus Changes Everything

Have you ever stopped to really ask yourself, “How do I see Jesus?”

It might sound simple, but it's a powerful question—because how you see Him changes everything: your faith, your freedom, and your future.

Crucified Savior or Risen King?

When you picture Jesus, what do you see?

Do you see Him bloodied on the cross—suffering, broken, barely breathing?

Or do you see Him risen—radiant, triumphant, full of life and power?
Because both are true, but where you place your perspective makes all the difference.

If you only see Him crucified, you might live stuck in guilt and shame—constantly trying to deserve the forgiveness He already paid for.

But if you see Him risen, crowned with glory and holding the keys to death and hell—you start living from victory, not defeat. And that changes everything.

What the Demons Saw

Let’s start with one of the most unexpected perspectives: the demonic world.

In Matthew 8:29, two demon-possessed men cry out, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?”

They saw what religious leaders refused to admit—Jesus was the Son of God, and He carried authority that made hell tremble. He didn’t threaten darkness with religion or rules. He threatened it with authority.

Let that sink in: Even hell knows who Jesus is. Do you?

What Religion Saw

Meanwhile, the religious leaders didn’t see a Savior—they saw a threat. Jesus disrupted their power, their politics, and their control.

John 11:50 captures their fear: “It’s better that one man should die for the people than for the whole nation to be destroyed.”

They traded truth for comfort, missing the very One sent to set them free.
And if we’re not careful, we’ll do the same—choosing tradition over transformation.

What the Father Declared

So how does God present Jesus?

John 1:29 – “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Luke 9:35 – “This is My Son, My Chosen One. Listen to Him!”

God didn’t send Jesus to make suggestions. He sent Him as the final Word. The absolute Truth. The only Way to real life.

So here’s a question for all of us: Do you listen to Jesus like He’s Lord—or just someone offering good advice?

Jesus Is Alive

Revelation 1:18 – “I am the Living One. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.”

That’s not a passive Jesus.

That’s a King with complete authority.

That’s the Jesus who fights for you.

So… How Do You See Him?

If you see Jesus as distant, angry, or disappointed in you—your faith will feel like performance. But when you see Him as the Lamb of God and the resurrected Lord—full of grace and truth—your faith becomes a relationship.

Obedience becomes a response to love, not fear.

How you see Him determines how you follow Him.

What Happens When You See Him Rightly?

Romans 5:1–2 reminds us: “Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ...”

That means because of Jesus:
  • You’ve been justified (cleared of all charges)
  • You’ve been given peace (wholeness and rest)
  • You stand in grace (unearned favor)
  • You carry hope (confident expectation)

So if you’re feeling stuck, heavy, or unsure of what’s next—lift your eyes.

He’s not hanging on a cross anymore.

He’s alive.

He’s speaking.

And He’s inviting you to walk in everything He’s already finished.

Final Thought: Faith That Sees Right

Let’s make this personal. Let’s see Jesus for who He truly is:
  • Not just crucified, but resurrected
  • Not just a Savior, but a reigning King
  • Not just a story, but the Living Word

And when you do? You’ll walk in a freedom that shakes hell and builds heaven.
